Carl "Da'Sax Man" Bender

Carl has been performing in Kansas City for 18 years. Leading his own ensemble, The Carl Bender Jazz Ensemble, he performs for public and private events such as the all the Jazz Festivals in and around Kansas City area.

Carl performs with Tim Whitmer and The K.C. Express. He is the saxophonist for the Kansas City Chiefs Pack band, The New Vintage Big Band, Becky Berry's Full House, Simon wonder brown, Disco Dick and the Mirror Balls, The Pink Wall (a Pink Floyd Tribute ensemble), occasionally with Greg Meise and John McNally, the Midtown Quartet, Bill Laursen and The Bob Carson Blues Band.

Carl Bender has performed in the past with David Basse and City Light Orchestra and Pat Morrissey & the Shake House Horns. He has performed at major events like the North American premier of the movie by Robert Altman, "Kansas City", the New Theater Restaurant, the Plaza III, and Fedora's on the Plaza. He also performs with his wife Linda at many churches throughout Kansas City and North-central Wisconsin.
